The book of Revelation presents the final scenes that will take place in the United States of America, just before the second coming of Jesus. In symbolic language, it foretells the final crisis that will take place as a result of the development of the image of the beast.

And I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spake as a dragon… And deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast; saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast, which had the wound by a sword, and did live. (Rev. 13:11, 14)

In the United States (a country that boasts to protect the religious freedoms of its citizens), it would appear to the casual reader as though these rights are still being defended. A recent announcement was made by the current presidential administration, which claimed similar sentiments. On January 18th, the promise was made in devotion to the “conscience and religious freedom” within the Department of Health and Human Services. This announcement, just a few short days before President Trump’s one year anniversary in the oval office, is leading to the development of the image of the beast.

The recent legislation by the government (and many other promises made during the president’s 2016 campaign) are part of the present administration’s efforts to give religious leaders their “voice back”. We are watching life being put into the formation of the image of the beast. We are rapidly approaching the time of the final test! Brothers and Sisters, we must take heed to the prophetic warnings given to us from the pen of inspiration:

“But what is the “image to the beast”? and how is it to be formed? The image is made by the two-horned beast, and is an image to the first beast. It is also called an image of the beast. Then to learn what the image is like, and how it is to be formed, we must study the characteristics of the beast itself,—the papacy. When the early church became corrupted by departing from the simplicity of the gospel, and accepting heathen rites and customs, she lost the Spirit and power of God; and in order to control the consciences of the people she sought the support of the secular power. The result was the papacy, a church that controlled the power of the State, and employed it to further her own ends, especially for the punishment of “heresy.” In order for the United States to form an image of the beast, the religious power must so control the civil government that the authority of the State will also be employed by the church to accomplish her own ends.” – {GC88 443.2}

This is what we see happening right now in America – the church receiving power from the state, to further her own agenda. Prophecy is fast fulfilling (to view the article regarding these recent current events, click here; and here). When you read and truly understand this article, it will be made very clear that there is still a great work to be done on the part of those who profess to believe Present Truth.

“The Lord has given his church a special work. The crisis is right upon us. We have only, as it were, a moment of time. We must now take our Bibles, and in the Holy Spirit’s power, proclaim the great truth for these last days. It will not be long before every one shall have heard the warning and made his decision. Then shall the end come. “There followed another angel, saying, Babylon is fallen, is fallen, that great city, because she made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication. And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand, the same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb.” – {RH July 26, 1898 Par. 5}

Oh, for such a heart to be prepared for the crisis just before us (see Duet 5:29). We must Get Ready, Get Ready, Get Ready!
