There is no denying the amiable relationship that the current U.S. administration has with Israel. With the move of the U.S. Embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerulsalem (in May 2018), and the recent recognition of Israeli sovereignty in the Golan Heights – referring to President Trump, Israel’s Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu (who has made comparison between the president and the Persian King, Cyrus) exclaimed last month, “He did it again!”

Not only is the Jewish nation pleased with these historic decisions; a large population of evangelical Christians are also in full support of this administration’s political movements; for more reasons than one…

In a recent interview with CBN, U.S. Secretary of State, Mike Pompeo (who is also an evangelical Christian) indicated that God may have raised up President Trump like He raised up Queen Esther – for such a time as this!

Just as the devil was successful in causing ancient Israel to misinterpret the prophecies concerning Christ and His First Advent to this world, so is he succeeding to blind the minds of men regarding the prophecies pointing to God’s chosen people, and the Second Coming of Jesus. The experience of today’s generation parallels that of the ancient Jewish nation, of which inspiration says:

They had studied the prophecies, but without spiritual insight. Thus they overlooked those scriptures that point to the humiliation of Christ’s first advent, and misapplied those that speak of the glory of His second coming. Pride obscured their vision. They interpreted prophecy in accordance with their selfish desires. {DA 30.2}

As students of Bible prophecy, we are to be the children of light, and not of darkness. God has given us His word, pointing out every waymark on the heavenward journey. May we take the responsibility (guided by the Holy Spirit) to know what is required of us, and to understand what is to come.
