Same Sex Marriages & the Last Days!

Just recently in Vermont, same sex marriages was legislated for  the first time! An article commenting on this historic event said, “other states have allowed gay marriage, as did Vermont,” but that Vermont has become “the first state to legalize gay marriage through a legislative decree and not a court case.” To read the whole article click here.  But first…

What Does this mean??

 We are told by Jesus in the Bible, in one of His last sermons, that: “as it was in the days of Lot; they did eat, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they builded; but the same day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all. Even thus shall it be in the day when the Son of man is revealed.” Luke 17:28-30.

Thus, Christ shows that the condition of the world (one of which was the sexual immorality) that existed in the days of Lot in Sodom, was to be a clear sign revealing the condition of the World just before the coming of Christ. Truly the world could not continue much longer! And when you read Genesis 19, you see clearly that one of the major immoral sins of Sodom was homosexuality. Truly Jesus is about to come.

“Everywhere are seen wrecks of humanity, neglected family altars, broken-up families. There is a strange abandonment of principle, a lowering of the standard of morality; the sins are fast increasing which caused the judgments of God to be poured upon the earth in the Flood and in the destruction of Sodom by fire.–5T 601 (1889).  {1MCP 232.2}

 “Upon their very countenances is imprinted the sin of Sodom. A continuance of these sins will bring the sure and terrible results. They will suddenly be destroyed, and that without remedy. They will receive the sentence, “He that is unjust, let him be unjust still; and he which is filthy, let him be filthy still.”– U. T., Jan. 11, 1897.  {HL 223.1}

Sins Worst Than In Sodom?

 God loves the sinner but hates the sins. Oh, may those who have been sincerely deceived by Satan recognize that in these gay marriages they are defacing the image of God in man and breaking His heart.

But says one, “The sin of homosexuality is the worst sin that could be committed. I’m glad that I am not like that!” True, the sin of homosexuality is terrible But dear reader, there is a greater sin than that committed by many who are not homosexuals. What is it? Read on…Notice the following inspired statement:

   “The Redeemer of the world declares that there are greater sins than that for which Sodom and Gomorrah were destroyed. Those who hear the gospel invitation calling sinners to repentance, and heed it not, are more guilty before God than were the dwellers in the vale of Siddim. And still greater sin is theirs who profess to know God and to keep His commandments, yet who deny Christ in their character and their daily life. In the light of the Saviour’s warning, the fate of Sodom is a solemn admonition . . . to all who are trifling with Heaven-sent light and privileges.  {CC 53.3}

 Let’s All get ready for time is almost finished!

     “The judgments of God are soon to be poured out upon the earth. “Escape for thy life” is the warning from the angels of God. Other voices are heard saying: “Do not become excited; there is no cause for special alarm.” Those who are at ease in Zion cry “Peace and safety,” while heaven declares that swift destruction is about to come upon the transgressor. The young, the frivolous, the pleasure loving, consider these warnings as idle tales and turn from them with a jest. Parents are inclined to think their children about right in the matter, and all sleep on at ease. Thus it was at the destruction of the old world and when Sodom and Gomorrah were consumed by fire. On the night prior to their destruction the cities of the plain rioted in pleasure. Lot was derided for his fears and warnings. But it was these scoffers that perished in the flames. That very night the door of mercy was forever closed to the wicked, careless inhabitants of Sodom.  {CC 53.4}

     The same voice that warned Lot to leave Sodom bids us, “Come out from among them, and be ye separate, . . .and touch not the unclean” (2 Corinthians 6:17). Those who obey this warning will find a refuge.  {CC 53.5}
