What does this mean Prophetically?
God has giving us warning (In Revelation 13 and Luke 21) that one of the major events that will lead to a passing of the National Sunday Law is a severe economic crisis. The economic crisis will further develop into a terrible crisis of civil unrest, riot, and bloodshed by the working class (because of the fraud that is practiced by many of the wealthy see James 5:1-4). It (this conflict among the working class) most terrible in the large wicked cities!
“The work of the people of God is to prepare for the events of the future, which will soon come upon them with blinding force. In the world gigantic monopolies will be formed. Men will bind themselves together in unions that will wrap them in the folds of the enemy. A few men will combine to grasp all the means to be obtained in certain lines of business. Trades unions will be formed, and those who refuse to join these unions will be marked men.–Letter 26, 1903. {CL 10.3}
“The trades unions and confederacies of the world are a snare. Keep out of them, and away from them, brethren. Have nothing to do with them. Because of these unions and confederacies, it will soon be very difficult for our institutions to carry on their work in the cities. My warning is: Keep out of the cities. Build no sanitariums in the cities. Educate our people to get out of the cities into the country, where they can obtain a small piece of land, and make a home for themselves and their children. . . . {CL 10.4}
“Our restaurants must be in the cities; for otherwise the workers in these restaurants could not reach the people and teach them the principles of right living. And for the present we shall have to occupy meetinghouses in the cities. But erelong there will be such strife and confusion in the cities, that those who wish to leave them will not be able. We must be preparing for these issues. This is the light that is given me. {CL 11.1}
The masses of people without money (or with very little money living in the cities) will be then be persuaded by religious leaders that the only solution to the problems of the terrible economy and social unrest will be a mandatory return to God in the form of a National Sunday Law.
“Yet this very class (religious leaders) put forth the claim that the fast-spreading corruption is largely attributable to the desecration of the so-called “Christian sabbath,” and that the enforcement of Sunday observance would greatly improve the morals of society. This claim is especially urged in America, where the doctrine of the true Sabbath has been most widely preached. {GC 587.1}
We are nearing this point today! If you don’t believe me read GC 588, -590 (and look at the fires and floods and other things inpiration foretells would take place just before the enforcing of a national sunday law).
And When commercial businesses and the inability of businesses to pay the wages due to the masses of the working class takes place—we will have a serious social mess on our hands.
