“The entire planet is swimming in debt, yet no one seems to criticize the system itself as being fundamentally flawed…”
A recent published article has brought to light the truth about the economic system of the United States and the entire world. In July, “the Washington-based Institute of International Finance published their latest statistics indicating that global debt had reached $247.2 trillion by the end of March this year, an increase of 11.1 percent from last year alone. In other words, since the start of this year, global debt rose by a whopping $8 trillion in just three to four months.”
So, how could such a financial problem (crisis) like this arise? “If the foundations be destroyed, what can the righteous do?” (Psa. 11:3)… The problem is that the system (the foundation – i.e. the Federal Reserve System) of the nation and world’s economy was established on debt; and thus it can only be maintained through the accumulation of more debt. With this, there will never be opportunity for true financial gain. Statistics like these should not be surprising, and will only have one certain result:
The centralizing of wealth and power [the Federal Reserve System]; the vast combinations for the enriching of the few at the expense of the many; the combinations of the poorer classes for the defense of their interests and claims; the spirit of unrest, of riot and bloodshed; the world-wide dissemination of the same teachings that led to the French Revolution–all are tending to involve the whole world in a struggle similar to that which convulsed France. {Ed 228.2}
As Christian, we have been counseled to “owe no many anything…” It is only a matter of time before the nation and world’s economic system will collapse and fall! It is only a matter of time that this financial crisis will result in a revolution!

Debts must not be allowed to accumulate term after term. The very highest kind of education that could be given is to shun the incurring of debt as you would shun disease. When one year after another passes, and there is no sign of diminishing the debt, but it is rather increased, a halt should be called… {6T 211.2}
