During an annual press conference, at the United Nations Headquarters, the Secretary-General (António Guterres) expressed his concerns about the worsening, global conditions. “I have spoken about winds of hope,” he said; “But today a wind of madness is sweeping the globe.” With “a feeling of growing instability and hair-trigger tensions”, this world leader recognizes that in 2020 – things have changed!

Without a knowledge of Christ, and the prophecies spoken about in Daniel and Revelation, the signs of the times would leave us all hopeless. However, the children of God have a blessed hope in Jesus, knowing that these winds of strife will not be released, until we know Him, as it is our privilege.

Already the restraining Spirit of God is being withdrawn from the world. Hurricanes, storms, tempests, fire and flood, disasters by sea and land, follow each other in quick succession. Science seeks to explain all these. The signs thickening around us, telling of the near approach of the Son of God, are attributed to any other than the true cause. People cannot discern the sentinel angels restraining the four winds, that they shall not blow until the servants of God are sealed. But when God shall bid His angels loose the winds, there will be such a scene of strife as no pen can picture.
