One of the billionaires of this world “is deeply worried about a divided and profoundly unequal America…” With the mounting disparities exposed by the current pandemic, this thinking man warns that the “…massive wealth gap could lead to conflict.”

The signs of this crisis can be seen, worldwide. Not only could it lead to conflict – God warns us that it will lead to conflict!

In India, China, Russia, and the cities of America, thousands of men and women are dying of starvation. The monied men, because they have the power, control the market. They purchase at low rates all they can obtain, and then sell at greatly increased prices. This means starvation to the poorer classes, and will result in a civil war. There will be a time of trouble such as never was since there was a nation. “…none of the wicked shall understand, but the wise shall understand.”–Ms 114, 1899. On the last day of this prophetic, civil year, there is a work that must be done, in order to prepare. Today is not the day to make new year’s resolutions, but to *re-consecrate your heart to God – the only Solution.

Let us enter upon the new year with our hearts cleansed from the defilement of selfishness and pride. Let us put away every sinful indulgence, and seek to become faithful, diligent learners in the school of Christ. A new year opens its unsullied pages before us. What shall we write upon them?  {OHC 7.3}
