Never before, in the history of America, has the nomination to fill a seat in the Supreme Court happened so close to a presidential election. This year’s proceedings have “…been rushed in a way that is historically unprecedented“; with the anticipated vote (by the U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee) made today, October 22, 2020… So, what’s the rush?

“Thy way, O God, is in the sanctuary…” (Psalms 77:13). The events that are transpiring on earth are a dim reflection of that which is taking place in the heavenly Court. Today marks 176 years since our great High Priest and Judge moved into the Most Holy Place (on October 22, 1844), to begin His work of investigating the cases of the dead. With the rapid fulfilment of prophetic events, bringing us closer to the passing of the National Sunday Law, we may know that this work is soon to pass from the judgement of the dead to the living.

Now, when the great work of judging the living is about to begin, shall we allow unsanctified ambition to take possession of the heart and lead us to neglect the education required to meet the needs in this day of peril?

 

In every case the great decision is to be made whether we shall receive the mark of the beast or his image, or the seal of the living God… {6T 130}

Over the years, we have seen a nation that was built on Protestant values gradually take on a Roman Catholic influence. As we watch the U.S. Supreme Court embrace a (majority) Roman Catholic appearance, then we will see this image reflected in its laws, preparing the whole world to wonder after the beast.

While the Protestant world is by her attitude making concessions to Rome, let us arouse to comprehend the situation and view the contest before us in its true bearings. Let the watchmen now lift up their voice and give the message which is present truth for this time. Let us show the people where we are in prophetic history and seek to arouse the spirit of true Protestantism, awaking the world to a sense of the value of the privileges of religious liberty so long enjoyed. {5T 716}

Look up and lift up your heads, giving diligence to make your calling and election sure. *A spirit of urgency must influence our every movement – for our redemption draweth nigh!
