Eden Economy Challenge Letter
Time is Running Out
“Fearful is the issue to which the world is to be brought. The powers of earth, uniting to war against the commandments of God, will decree that no man may buy or sell, save he that has the mark of the beast, and, finally, that whoever refuses to receive the mark shall be put to death.” {4SP 422}
“In the last great conflict of the controversy with Satan those who are loyal to God will see every earthly support cut off. Because they refuse to break His law in obedience to earthly powers, they will be forbidden to buy or sell.” {DA 122}
“But to the obedient is given the promise, ‘He shall dwell on high: his place of defense shall be the munitions of rocks: bread shall be given him; his waters shall be sure.’ Isaiah 33:16. By this promise the children of God will live…’They shall not be ashamed in the evil time: and in the days of famine they shall be satisfied’ Psalms 37:19.” {Ibid}
These exceeding, great, and precious promises are often misunderstood, because the majority of God’s people are not aware that every promise is based on a condition.
God has a part, and we have a part. With the final crisis fast approaching, how can we do our part in co-operating with God in sustaining life?
We must break away, little by little, from obtaining our resources from the Babylonian way of life!
It’s a startling fact that our time, money, and just about everything that we have is not derived from “our own”. This is a problem, and will bring upon our people a very serious crisis.“…for in the future the problem of buying and selling will be a very serious one.” {CL 10}
This is why, by the grace of God, we are seeking to establish a new economy – an Eden Economy! An economy, or system of living, that is not dependent on Babylon (or the world) for its products and services, in order to support and sustain life. For very soon we will not be able to buy or sell, save we have the mark of the beast.
That means, before this crisis, we must have a system of living that is not based on buying or selling! This is one of the great objectives of the Eden Economy. God wants to bring His people to a place where in order to sustain life, all they need is to depend on God and each other. This was the experience that the people of God had in the days of the apostles, just before the Early Rain. This must be the experience of the people of God, just before the Latter Rain and the Loud Cry!
“And the multitude of them that believed were of one heart and of one soul: neither said any of them that ought of the things which he possessed was his own; but they had all things common… Neither was there any among them that lacked: for as many as were possessors of lands or houses sold them, and brought the prices of the things that were sold, And laid them down at the apostles’ feet: and distribution was made unto every man according as he had need” (Acts 4:32, 34, 35). These verses demonstrate the type of economy that we must build, or bring into existence.
In other words, we have another ark to build! Noah didn’t build the ark overnight; it took him a period of time – 120 years. However, we don’t have 120 years! What it has taken others years to learn, we “will have to learn in a few months.” {EW 67}
This is why it is so urgent that we build the Eden Economy now!
