French Toast

Yummy french toast served with sweet and nutty drizzles!
Prep Time 5 minutes
Cook Time 10 minutes
Total Time 15 minutes
Servings 5 slices


  • 1 cup soy milk
  • 1/4 cup whole wheat flour
  • 2 tbsp flaxseed meal
  • 1 tbsp maple syrup
  • 1 tsp vanilla (non-alcohol)
  • oil to thinly coat skillet or griddle
  • 5 half-inch slices of whole grain bread


  • Blend all ingredients
  • Heat a skillet and coat with a thin layer of oil
  • Dip the slices of bread one by one in the batter, and coat on either side (we let them soak about 20-30 seconds on each side)
  • Place a slice of the french toast on the skillet and cook on each side, until golden brown
  • Serve hot with a drizzle of maple syrup or agave nectar (we also like to add a little almond or cashew butter to our french toast...try it!)
