
French Toast
Ingredients
- 1 cup soy milk
- 1/4 cup whole wheat flour
- 2 tbsp flaxseed meal
- 1 tbsp maple syrup
- 1 tsp vanilla (non-alcohol)
- oil to thinly coat skillet or griddle
- 5 half-inch slices of whole grain bread
Instructions
- Blend all ingredients
- Heat a skillet and coat with a thin layer of oil
- Dip the slices of bread one by one in the batter, and coat on either side (we let them soak about 20-30 seconds on each side)
- Place a slice of the french toast on the skillet and cook on each side, until golden brown
- Serve hot with a drizzle of maple syrup or agave nectar (we also like to add a little almond or cashew butter to our french toast...try it!)
