
Marinara Sauce
Ingredients
- 8 cups crushed tomatoes 2 cans (28 oz.)
- 1 can tomato paste 6 oz.
- 1 med. onion chopped coarsley
- 2-4 cloves garlic finely chopped
- 2 whole bay leaves
- 1 tbsp dried basil
- 1/2 tbsp dried oregano
- 2 tbsp honey
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 tsp. sea salt optional
- 1 tsp. pepper-like seasoning
Instructions
- Combine all ingredients in medium size pot.
- Bring to a boil.
- Turn down heat to med-low temperature and simmer, stirring regularly for 15 minutes.
- Remove from heat, serve warm or cool to store.
