TVP Burgers

Easy and tasty veggie burgers!
Prep Time 10 minutes
Cook Time 20 minutes
Total Time 50 minutes


  • 1 cup textured vegetable protein
  • 1/4 cup rolled oats
  • 1/2 tsp dried oregano
  • 1/2 tsp dried basil
  • 1/2 tsp dried parsley
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp dried garlic and roasted pepper
  • 1 tsp non chicken massel seasoning
  • 3/4 cup almost boiling water
  • 2 Tbsp homemade ketchup see recipe link in the instructions
  • 2 Tbsp Braggs
  • 1 Tbsp peanut butter or cashew butter
  • 1/4 cup bread flour
  • 1 Tbsp nutritional yeast flakes


  • Place the first 8 ingredients into a bowl and stir in the very hot water.
  • Add the ketchup and braggs to this mixture and mix well. Let it stand for about 20 minutes, so that the TVP absorbs the flavours. Recipe for ketchup:
  • Add the nut butter and incorporate.
  • Add the flour and nutritional yeast and mix thoroughly.
  • Form into patties.
  • Skillet cook in a little oil.
  • Medium heat for about 5 minutes on each side, until they are golden brown.
